The 2008-2009 RVDA Education
Foundation’s RV Learning Center Scholarship recipient is Lindsay

toward her higher education. The Kindlund Family Foundation endows the
scholarship.

“Joanne and I are pleased to see
this year’s scholarship go to someone who is so eminently
qualified,” said Newt Kindlund. “The Kindlund’s were
the founders of Holiday RV Superstores, which was the first publicly
traded RV dealership. Even after selling their corporation in
1999, the Kindlund’s are active in the RV industry. Newt
Kindlund currently serves on the Board of Directors of the RVDA
Education Foundation. The Kindlund Family Foundation has given $270,000
to the RVDA Education Scholarship endowment.
The RV Learning Center scholarship
program recognizes deserving rising college sophomore, junior, and
senior undergraduate students. The selection process carefully weighs
the following criteria: academic achievement, a 500-word essay on goals
and objectives in college, extracurricular activities and honors, RV
industry involvement, and financial need. Since its inception in 2000,
the program has awarded $42,500 in scholarship funds to 13 deserving
recipients. If you would like to apply for the 2009 – 2010
RV Learning Center scholarship, look for applications in various
resources, such as RV Executive Today and the RV Learning Center website
starting in January 2009.
