Distance Learning Will Help Your Career Soar!

Through a partnership with the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA), the RV Learning Center offers the Distance Learning Network (DLN), a distance learning training program designed exclusively for the RV Industry. The adult education experts at the RV Training Institute at Lake City Community College work with experienced RV professionals to produce and continually update over 40 sessions of instructional programming. The DLN is an in-house, mentor-led, group-learning training opportunity where costs associated with travel and time out of the shop are eliminated. Dealership-based mentors receive support throughout the curriculum year from the educators at Lake City Community College. Live mentor training is available at the annual RV Dealers International Convention/Expo. A 30-minute instructional video featuring mentor best practices for using the DLN is available here:     

Training on the RV Distance Learning Network includes: 

• RV TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION PREP COURSE: The over 40 hours of instruction will help train your technicians and prepare them for the RVDA-RVIA RV Service Technician Certification test.  
• ADVANCED/MANUFACTURER SPECIFIC COURSE:  Features product-specific training from RV manufacturers and suppliers from within the RV industry.
• RV GREETER - RECEPTIONIST PROGRAM:  A 50 minute program that covers: the importance of customer service; the skills and expectations for the RV Receptionist; the importance of making the right first impression; communicating on the phone; handling difficult customers; and organizational techniques for the workplace. The program is suitable for all persons needing customer service skills – EVERYONE at your dealership!
• SERVICE WRITER/ADVISOR TRAINING: This three-hour program is excellent for both your veteran service writer/advisors and your new hires.  Presented by service writer/advisor veteran Andrea Blackmon, the program helps prepare your personnel for the RV Learning Center’s Service Writer/Advisor Certification test.

The subscription fee is $995. Each subscription location has access to all available training for a full curriculum year from August 1, 2009 through July 31, 2010.
